Become an environmental scientist on

Program Summary:
Campers will spend each morning exploring the human and natural history
of
for youth; however, our summer programs also feature art and
story-telling, fun and games! At the
beginning of each session, participants learn boating safety and skills, and
are introduced to lake-study techniques and activities. Once everyone feels comfortable, campers will
get to set the agenda for the week based on their interests. We might investigate lake legends, aquatic creatures,
or the impact of global climate change on
Typical
Day:
8:30-9:00am Warm-up activity and
discussion; lay out the day’s plans.
9:00am-12:00pm Board M/V Haendel. Over the course of the cruise,
we’ll likely:

Visit several points on the
lake, for water and biological testing, etc.
·
Stop at a shoreline
location to stretch legs, etc.
·
Have a mid-morning snack
(bathroom is available on-board.)
12:00-12:30pm Wrap-up and planning for
the next day.
12:30 pm Campers are
picked up
